Writing Is Hard/2020 Recap

Hey Guys,

Does everyone remember when I wrote that blog post back in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic and vowed to make my way back to writing on the regular? Let’s all take a moment to laugh.

Now that that’s out of the way… Although I didn’t get back to writing in 2020 as I had hoped, it still turned out to be a really good year for me. I found my way back to drawing and experimenting with different art mediums. I fell in love with drawing Anime again. I bought some markers and I started to paint again. I took the road trip of a lifetime from Arizona to Montana and reconnected with nature. I even got a job promotion. Aside from the things I found my way back to, I also picked up some new hobbies. I bought a skateboard… no joke. And yes I’ve eaten pavement a few times but we’re getting there. I also bought a film camera and I’m absolutely in love. It’s easily one of my new favorite hobbies.

Since that day over a year ago when I vowed to find my way back to writing, I’ve written approximately one and a half very short stories and a few grocery lists. There have been many times that I’ve felt motivated to write throughout the day but then I get off work and sit down with my computer or my pen and paper in hand and all of a sudden that motivation evaporates. Truth is, even though writing is something that I love to do, it isn’t something that always comes easily. And that’s okay. So here I am adding the link to my blog back to my bio and vowing to find my way back to writing AGAIN. One day at a time. Join me. Cheers to old loves and new hobbies.
